Old Masters: followed and admired

The history of painting has started from the first works of Giotto di Bondone in the 14th century. He is considered to be the founder of what is now known as an Italian Renaissance. Then he found a lot of followers who were working and admiring is style.

The Italian Renaissance began in Florence and Tuscany with the artists who were making frescoes and panel painting. These artists were Piero della Francesca, Paolo Uccello, Masaccio, Masolino. But the three main Renaissance artist will always be Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, and Michelangelo, who will always be a representatives of the whole Renaissance epoch.
